The Monastery of Agostiniani is located at the top of the village, in a panoramic square, which it shares with the XIII century church of St. Nicolas. There is parking here with magnificent views, and also parking at the back entrance. A part of the Monastery has recently been refurbished and converted into apartments. Come and enjoy the penthouse which includes all home comforts and spectacular views of Le Marche in the perfect location for a perfect getaway. The apartment accommodates 5 people, and has central heating throughout. It has one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and a living (and sleeping) area. The bedroom has a large double bed and a sofa in this bedroom is a single bed. The sofa in the living room is a double bed too. The kitchen has a large fridge, small freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine and is equipped with cooking essentials, china and glasses. This apartment is sold with all fittings and furniture. There is a courtyard within the walls of the Monastery, a residents only area, perfect for relaxing outside and furnished with tables and chairs. It is a short walk into the town of Sant'Angelo, everything essential can be found here. Butcher, baker, a small supermarket, fruit & veg, 2 bars and 2 restaurants. A third restaurant a short drive away. The Monastery is close to the majestic Sibillini Mountain range and the Sibillini National Park which provides the most breath-taking scenery in central Italy. There are 20 peaks over 2000m. and several ski resorts. The whole area is a walkers paradise with many mountain paths, guided walks and a stunning array of wild flowers in the spring. Le Marche is rich in historial, artistic and cultural heritage which has been preserved. Le Marche, unlike its neighbours Umbria and Tuscany, is relatively undiscovered and still unspoilt by tourism. The area is rural and very little English is spoken, but the local Italians are very friendly and helpful, especially if you speak a few words of Italian. The Adriatic coast, 45 minutes away, has beautiful white sandy beaches with excellent swimming and fresh fish restaurants.
