Situated in a stunning location at the foot of Castagneto Carducci, the medieval hamlet that bears the name of great poet of the 19th century Giosuè Carducci. The villa was once built on the remains of a Roman estate; silent witness of this is the mosaic floor, found here in 1869, which now can be admired in the archaeological museum of Volterra.
